As a reminder, on September 11, President Tokayev approved the regulations for the Security Council and its Secretariat, and defined the scope of powers for the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
The document specifically noted that the Secretariat of the Security Council, as an independent state body, is directly subordinate and accountable to the Head of State.
The activities of the Security Council Secretariat are aimed at strengthening and improving national security risk management, ensuring the stability of public administration, and providing institutional support and implementation of decisions made by the Chairman of the Security Council and the Security Council of Kazakhstan itself.
The implementation of these tasks is directed toward bolstering the protection of Kazakhstan's sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, national interests on the international stage, and the foundations of the constitutional order.
