Kazakhstanis are mass complaining about ARVI symptoms - what the official statistics say

Tengrinews.kz — Since the beginning of autumn, 51,937 people in Kazakhstan have contracted acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI)—nearly half the number recorded during the same period last year, citing the press service Ministry of Healthcare.
Current ARVI Situation in Kazakhstan
Since late August, Kazakhstanis have been reporting symptoms of respiratory infections. Notably, some cases occur without a fever, with individuals reporting sore throats, runny noses, and fatigue.

According to official data, specialists have been monitoring the incidence of ARVI, influenza, and COVID-19 weekly since September. They note that rates currently remain relatively low: the 51,937 recorded cases are 1.8 times lower than the figures from early autumn 2025.
To date, no cases of influenza have been registered in Kazakhstan during this epidemiological season.
COVID-19 Situation in Kazakhstan
A decline in cases has also been observed for COVID-19, with 87 cases registered in Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2026.
According to experts, this is 10.3 times lower than during the same period in 2025.

"COVID-19 continues to circulate alongside other seasonal respiratory viruses. No new, previously unknown viruses have been detected in Kazakhstan," the Ministry of Healthcare noted.

Specialists continue to monitor the situation, as the spread of respiratory infections traditionally increases during the autumn months.
