EXECUTIVE, MEDIA UNIT
Summary of position:
Media Executive reports directly to Head of Media Unit. The incumbent’s core task is to prepare English written contents to be published in FAM’s social media, press kits, newspaper and other relevant media sources. The incumbent is also required to ensure all FAM activities are published in FAM website, as well as liaising with all media practitioners to enhance FAM’s coverage in local and international media.
- Degree in Mass Communication or any other relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years working experience.
- Experience in working with sports team administration or sports related agency or body is an advantage.
- Highly interested in football and possess sufficient knowledge of football is also an added advantage.
- Ability to prioritize work and able to work under pressure, as well as co-ordinating information and resources internally and externally.
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
- Strong verbal communication, written and administration skills.
- Proficient in both English and Malay (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Assist Head of Media Unit to:
- Manage all FAM social media accounts.
- Develop content for social media post on FAM activities in a way that will enlighten and attract football fans to keep visiting FAM website.
- Co-ordinate and establish all media contents for all FAM activities in collaboration with Marketing Unit as well as Information Technology and Multimedia Unit.
- Prepare media kits for press conferences when required.
- Manage the registration and arrangement of media requirements in all FAM activities.
- Organize Media Day or any other media get together event in FAM.
- Gather information from team administrators or person-in-charge before publishing team activities or events organized in FAM.
- Appoint media marshals in all FAM organized match or tournaments.
- Ensure broadcasters adhere to FAM Media and Marketing Regulations in all FAM organized match or tournaments.
- Regulate and implement FAM Media and Marketing Regulations based on FIFA Media and Marketing Regulations.
- Liaise with all media to ensure enough coverage in mainstream newspaper and broadcaster leading to and during FAM hosted match or tournament.
