Assistance program for Nagorno-Karabakh refugees extended until March 2025 – Minister

YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has extended until 2025 March an assistance program, designed for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, Labor and Social Affairs Minister Narek Mkrtchyan said today. The assistance amount is 50,000 drams for each refugee./pp
Earlier the government extended the program until the end of 2024. Forty thousand drams are provided for covering housing rent and 10,000 drams to cover utility expenses./pp
The minister revealed that in January-March 2025, the amount of monthly assistance will be 50,000 drams, but starting from April the 10,000 drams will not be paid. He explained that these 10,000 drams were initially provided only to those families that owned real estate./pp
According to the minister, starting from April of next year, social support is planned to be provided to certain groups of the refugees./pp
He said they are individuals with 1st and 2nd degree disability, families who have lost their breadwinners, individuals over 63 years old, children under 18 years old./pp 'From April to June, 40,000 drams will be provided, and from July to December inclusive, 30,000 drams, Mkrtchyan said.-0-br br br/p
