Shalini Passi reacts to 'sad' and 'shocking' death of Sunjay Kapur: 'It makes us realise...'

Famous model and Netflix sensation Shalini Passi recently reacted to the news of Sunjay Kapur's death on June 12. In a recent media interaction, Shalini expressed her dismay and shock over the unfortunate incident and his untimely demise.

While speaking with Hindustan Times, Shalini Passi said, "The news of Sunjay's death is sad and shocking. It makes us realize the frivolity of our life and everything that we take so seriously In a moment everything is gone." Remembering her last conversation with the couple, Shalini shared that Sunjay and Priya Sachdeva had congratulated her on the success of her Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives. She further said that they were pleased to see her representing Delhi in the series.

Shalini recalled that Sunjay and Priya had congratulated her on the success of Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives. They were also happy to her holding up for Delhi in the series. As she said, both were 'delighted' by it and happy for her. "And that's what they had expressed to me," she said. Shalini also mentioned that her and Sunjay's families were close friends, and she had known them since her marriage. Shalini described Sunjay as a person full of life and enthusiasm, whether it was his business or playing polo. "He was somebody a lot of people looked up to as a role model," she explained.

Sunjay Kapur is a well-known figure in both business and elite sports circles as the chairman of Sona Comstar. He also had a significant influence in the automotive industry and was actively involved in motorsports and polo. The businessman died in the UK from a heart attack during a polo match at the age of 53. Actress Karisma Kapoor married businessman Sunjay Kapur in 2003 in an elaborate ceremony. The couple then had two children: daughter Samaira in 2005 and son Kiaan in 2010 at Karisma's family home, Krishna Raj Bungalow, in Mumbai. However, their marriage didn't last long, as the two decided to get divorced after 13 years of marriage in 2016.
