– The project was an oil and gas filling station built by the Nigeria Army Property Limited (NAPL) in Minna, the capital of Niger state
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, commissioned a commercial fuel filling station project, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, April 8, in Minna, Niger state
The Nigeria Army Property Limited (NAPL) is in charge of the 8 pump filling station, located along Bakungu bye pass in Minna.

General Olonisakan, while speaking on behalf of President Buhari, as the Guest of Honour, appreciated the efforts of the Chief Of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, for coming up with such a laudable initiative, which materialised into having an Oil and Gas sector, under the NAPL, despite the current challenges facing the Nigerian army, regarding making it one of the best in the world.
The Chief of Defence Staff said:
“The establishment of the NAPL projects will afford the Nigerian Army optimal utilisation of its human and material assets into profitable business ventures towards improving the welfare and well-being of he Nigerian armed forces personnel and their families and also the general public.It will also afford the Nigerian army an opportunity to effectively engage all the arms of the service in their various areas of specialization for enhance service delivery.”
General Olonisakin stated that the federal government under President Buhari, prioritises the effectiveness and efficiency of the military as number one, in order to guarantee that the territorial integrity of the nation is not compromised.
In his earlier welcome address, Lt General Tukur Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff, who also doubled as the host, said the brain behind establishing the oil and gas station, was in line with his own mission statement of developing a Nigerian military, which is well motivated and professionally ready, to solve the current national security problems all over the country.
The Nigerian miltary is not tired of its onlsaught against insurgency, as it arrested three suspected Boko Haram members at Nwagafete village, close to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state on Thursday, April 7.
