Azerbaijan is a victim of slander campaign, says Ambassador to U.S.

Trend reports that Azerbaijani Ambassador to the U.S. Elin Suleymanov stated this to The Washington Times.

“Escalation of violence took place in the region recently. The latest reaction to positive visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Washington is the evidence that we have rivals, ill-wishers. Don’t be surprised by such harsh criticism directed at us,” said the diplomat.

“We don’t mind criticism if it is constructive,” noted Suleymanov.
