4 juveniles — ages 12 to 14 — injured and trapped in crash during sheriff’s chase in East LA

Four juveniles are in the hospital Wednesday after they were trapped inside a vehicle that crashed near Boyle Heights during a pursuit by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies.
Firefighters were called at 9:54 p.m. Tuesday to the Calzone Street off-ramp of the northbound 5 Freeway, where they found the trapped victims had crashed the vehicle and were able to free them using hydraulic tools, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

According to multiple media reports, all four victims were minors, between 12 and 14 years old. All were taken to a hospital.
According to ABC7, all of the victims are expected to survive their injuries.
