Brotherhood Playoff Watch - Orlando Rolls, L.A. On The Brink
Paolo Banchero seems to be on the verge of another plateau
In Thursday’s Brotherhood Playoff Action, Orlando beat Cleveland 121-83 and the LA Lakers fell again to the Denver Nuggets, 112-105.
Paolo Banchero had a monster game in Orlando’s 38 point beatdown of Cleveland. Banchero finished with 31 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.
It was the worst playoff loss in Cleveland’s history and also the first playoff win for Banchero and most of his young Orlando teammates who are now down 2-1 to the Cavs.
Everyone understands that Banchero has emerged as an elite talent and games like this one confirm that.
As for the Lakers, they are now down 3-0 to Denver and have lost 11 straight overall to the Nuggets.
Cam Reddish is out with an ankle injury while Harry Giles got in but only for garbage time. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves combined to score 81 of LA’s 105 points and that’s just not going to do it.
On Friday, the Clippers and the Mavericks will do battle and then the Timberwolves and Suns will go at it in the night cap. In the first game we’ll see Mason Plumlee for L.A. challenge former teammate Kyrie Irving and rookie Dereck Lively and in the second Wendell Moore would go up against Grayson Allen, but Allen is listed as questionable with an ankle injury so we’ll have to see.
