Shock Finland leader Lappi on verge of maiden triumph
Esapekka Lappi remained on course for a shock Rally of Finland triumph after building up a decisive lead on his home event which decimated the hopes of world championship leaders Sebastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville.
Finnish driver Lappi drove his Toyota to a 49.2sec lead over compatriot Teemu Suninen in an M-Sport Ford Focus and a 53.4sec advantage over teammate Juho Hänninen.
Britain's Elfyn Evans, in another Ford Focus, was fourth at 54.7sec off the pace with just four stages on Sunday left to race.
