Owen Tippett’s ridiculous spin-o-rama tally for Flyers should be the NHL’s goal of the year
This was BONKERS!
Move over Connor McDavid and Connor Bedard, Owen Tippett has submitted his case for NHL goal of the season after an absolutely bonkers spin-o-rama tally.
On Thursday, the Philadelphia Flyers bested the Dallas Stars 5-1 en route to their fifth victory in a row. The Flyers had the Stars’ number from the start, as Philadelphia jumped out to a lead in the first period and never looked back. A big reason for that was due to Tippett, who scored two goals in the Flyers’ five-goal victory, but none more so bigger than this one.
With the Flyers up 4-1 in the third, Tippett put the game away for Philadelphia with a ridiculous spin-o-rama move, firing the puck off his backhand and beating goaltender Jake Oettinger with a beauty of a shot.

What a move and what a goal! We’ll be seeing that on highlight reels all season long, that’s for sure.
