Everything to know about the BetMGM and Twitter (now X) sports betting partnership
BetMGM and X signed an exclusive odds partnership on Friday. Here's what we know about it.
There’s never a dull moment during Super Bowl week, and a deal that was teased weeks ago became official on Friday when BetMGM and X signed an exclusive sports betting partnership.
According to the press release, the deal will make BetMGM the social media platform’s “exclusive live odds sports betting partner.”
Users on X in the United States will be able to explore BetMGM’s latest odds on the Super Bowl with other “major” professional and college sports expected to be available in the coming weeks. Users will be able to view the odds for a game on X, and clickthrough to BetMGM’s website or app to place a wager.
“Sports never sleep on X and now with our strategic partnership with BetMGM, fans are practically in the front row,” Linda Yaccarino, X CEO said in the press release. “We’re bringing sports fans on X even closer to the action so they can cheer, and now bet, on their favorite teams.”
It will certainly be something to monitor on Super Bowl Sunday, as we now have the Big Game taking place in Las Vegas, with users able to live bet on their phones in the stadium — and now one-click away through X.
“X is the center of the sports world’s conversation 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in the press release. “Being directly accessible within that forum is an unprecedented opportunity to expand our reach to a passionate and engaged audience. We look forward to adding intel and content that enhances the platform’s interaction around sports.”
