ESPN's Chris Berman makes his annual 'Swami Sez' Super Bowl pick
The Swami is back with his annual Super Bowl selection
It’s a yearly tradition for ESPN’s long-time broadcaster Chris Berman — one of the pioneers of sports betting media — to make a Super Bowl selection. It’s a tradition near and dear to my heart, too, since I worked with Boom for a season, helping to produce his Swami Sez picks as written content for ESPN Chalk (now the “Sports Betting” section on ESPN.com.
Berman has always been a fan of Andy Reid, and this year he’s going with Kansas City Chiefs to beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-20.
As he says in the article, “When push comes to shove, wouldn’t you want the ball in Mahomes’ hands come crunch time? Especially as an underdog, as the Chiefs were the past two weeks and as they were in last year’s Super Bowl against Philadelphia? That’s my thinking.”
For those keeping count, that means both Berman and Billy Walters both like the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
