Jack Gohlke's ridiculous shot selection has made betting on a 2-pointer oddly profitable
Jack Gohlke has attempted just 8 two-pointers all year. His odds to make one against NC State are wild.
If there’s one thing everyone has learned about Jack Gohlke by now, it’s that he really hates shooting the basketball in front of the 3-point line.
Already known as one of the best deep 3-point specialists in the country before the tournament began, Gohlke’s shot chart this season has to be seen to be believed.
He’s attempted 347 shots from behind the arc and just EIGHT two-pointers.
Yes, you read that correctly. Gohlke takes one two-pointer for roughly every 44 3-pointers he shoots. It’s mind-boggling to think about but even harder to comprehend when you look at the location of all his attempts.

Which makes a Gohlke prop bet listed on FanDuel Sportsbook ahead of No. 14 Oakland’s second round matchup with No. 11 NC State on Saturday oh so tempting.
Gohlke is +450 to make a two-pointer.
Obviously, this is a trap. We know Gohlke is allergic to layups, even if they do occasionally happen.

But NC State knows he hate’s two-pointers, too. And the Wolfpack will be doing all it can to chase him off the 3-point line. All it takes is one pump fake or foot on the line for this bet to cash.
It’s extremely unlikely, but this is March. Anything and everything can happen — even a Jack Gohlke layup.
