The latest 2024 NFL mock draft from NFL.com has the Giants taking Michael Penix Jr.
Should the Giants take a QB in the first round?
The New York Giants have one of the more intriguing NFL Draft paths to take.
They need a lot of help, specifically at wide receiver, which is great in a deep class full of talented wideouts. But they could also take a quarterback and assume that Daniel Jones isn’t their long-term answer at QB.
In our latest 2-round NFL mock draft from Christian D’Andrea, he’s got the Giants taking WR Rome Odunze out of Washington … and then Odunze’s teammate Michael Penix Jr. to help at QB in the second round. In the latest mock on NFL.com, Maurice Jones-Drew has the Giants getting Penix Jr. at No. 6. Here’s his take:
Despite Penix’s injury history, the Giants feel good about the Heisman runner-up’s arm strength, vision and ability to get through his progressions. The Washington product will compete with incumbent starter Daniel Jones in an effort to get Big Blue’s offense back on track under Brian Daboll.
