April Fool's Day: Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana among top pranksters
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The beginning of April is a day for practical jokes, but some states get more into the spirit of April Fool's Day than others. In fact, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas all made it into the top 10.
Online gaming and entertainment site Casino.org surveyed 3,000 people in the U.S. to discover how Americans feel about the holiday and what pranks they plan to pull this year.
Montana must have a funny bone because the state took first place. Louisianans came in third, with 34.8% of people planning to prank someone for April Fool's Day. Oklahoma was not far behind in fourth place, while Texas came in at number 10.
What are Louisianans' favorite pranks? Jump scares, prank calls and creepy plastic bugs to make your skin crawl. Texans agree, but Oklahomans prefer ding-dong ditching and teepeeing.
Seventy-three percent of pranksters in Louisiana said they're most likely to target someone at home, followed by 65% that prefer to prank someone when hanging out with friends. If you live with tricksters, be extra cautious to look around you before entering a room.
