PIEDMONT, Okla. (KFOR) — There are new details in a child abuse investigation out of Piedmont after police released some of the interrogation video with the suspects.
Tina Ramirez and Anthony Ibeziako are the two adults responsible for five kids at a home in Piedmont.
The arrest came after a runaway child claimed her mother was scary and sometimes locked them in the closet.
The police report said all of them looked malnourished or frail. The report also notes the refrigerator had a fingerprint lock, that only Ramirez could open.
"Let me tell you something, she feeds them. If she didn't feed them, I would tell you she didn't feed them," said Anthony Ibeziako during the questioning with officers.
During the questioning, officers tried to uncover more information about the alleged horrors behind these walls.
"Multiple of the kids said that **** has been pepper sprayed." "Pepper sprayed??" "I'm not making stuff up." "What the f--pepper sprayed??"
Interaction between police and Ibeziako during questioning
Officers said during their search of the home, a child's letter was found that read "I think she's going to kill me. I didn't do anything… she held scissors to my throat".
Ibeziako told investigators he knew nothing.
"The only thing I do in my closet is get my clothes and my shoes, I didn't know any of this existed," said Ibeziako.
Ramirez was also brought in for questioning, but refused to talk.
"I would like to remain silent and use my rights of the fifth and sixth amendment," said Tina Ramirez during questioning.
Ramirez has her preliminary hearing April 12.
