OKCPS announces upcoming school board changes
Oklahoma City Public Schools says its preparing the upcoming changes for the Board of Education.
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) says its preparing the upcoming changes for the School Board.
According to OKCPS, Board Member Adrian Anderson, who currently represents Board District 5, will be stepping down.
Mr. Anderson moved outside of the Board District 5 boundary. Therefore, he is no longer eligible to represent District 5 on the OKCPS Board.
The Board says, its required to take action via a vote to officially accept his resignation after which the Board will establish a timeline to appoint a representative for District 5.
OKCPS confirms, Jessica Cifuentes won the election for the District 3 seat over the incumbent, Cary Pirrong. She will be sworn in at the April 15 Board of Education Meeting.
