Lafayette man charged with negligent homicide in Thursday crash
Joshua Alesi, 33, is charged with negligent homicide, negligent injuring and careless operation stemming from a multi-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Mills Street.
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A Lafayette man is under arrest following a fatal crash Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
Joshua Alesi, 33, is charged with negligent homicide, negligent injuring and careless operation stemming from a multi-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of Mills Street.
According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, an undentified 62-year-old woman was killed in the crash. Other drivers and passengers in the involved vehicles were also injured, officials said.
Alesi was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the aforementioned charges. The investigation by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team remains ongoing, and toxicology results are pending, authorities said.
