Multiple people transported to hospital after trees fell on their vehicles in St. Landry Parish
According to Bellard, trees fell on the vehicles of people who were waiting in line for the monthly commodities that the parish distributed at the Yambilee Building.
ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY)-- St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard said multiple people were hospitalized after trees fell on their vehicles Wednesday morning.
According to Bellard, trees fell on the vehicles of people who were waiting in line for the monthly commodities that the parish distributed at the Yambilee Building.
Bellard said the victims were brought to hospitals, where they are currently in stable condition.
As of now, nearly 68% of people in the parish are still without power as a result of the dangerous weather that swept the state, according to Bellard.
