One arrested, one wanted in connection with Evangeline Parish accordion thefts
Donald Attle, 59, of Mamou was arrested and charged with possession of stolen things and simple burglary. The other suspect, Billy Tiller, 35, of Chataignier, is still at large, authorities said.
CHATAIGNIER, La. (KLFY) -- Authorities have identified two suspects, and arrested one of them, in a theft of musical insturments from Chataignier last month, authorities said.
Donald Attle, 59, of Mamou was arrested and charged with possession of stolen things and simple burglary. The other suspect, Billy Tiller, 35, of Chataignier, is still at large, authorities said.
Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received a complaint March 20 of a burglary at the 5900 block of Vine Street in Chataignier, where two Martin brand accordions were stolen. Detectives learned that two suspects went to a pawn shop in Eunice and sold the accordions, according to the EPSO.
Both bonds are set at $75,000.
