Parent accused of pulling gun during teen fight at Vancouver Mall
A man has been charged with felony harassment after allegedly pointing a gun at another parent during a dispute between teens and parents at the Vancouver Mall.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A week after a fight between teens led to a dispute between parents at the Vancouver Mall, one man faces a felony harassment charge for allegedly pointing a gun.
Officers responded to 8700 NE Vancouver Mall Drive on a report that several teens had gotten into a fight in the food court. Authorities said one of the teen’s parents intervened and another parent, Georgio Stevens, pulled out a gun to point at them.
Georgio Stevens then left the food court with his kids, though police said they found reason to believe he was still inside the mall, possibly in the bowling alley.
Vancouver police took Stevens into custody Friday morning after searching his house. It is not clear what officials found. An investigation is ongoing.
