MAX Blue Line in Gresham to resume service after weeklong disruption
MAX Blue Line service will be reopening for service in Gresham on Sunday after a weeklong disruption allowed crews to make upgrades on an old rail crossing, TriMet announced Friday.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The MAX Blue Line will be reopening for service in Gresham on Sunday after a weeklong disruption allowed crews to make upgrades on an old rail crossing, TriMet announced Friday.
Beginning April 7, the service disruption was a part of the the Gresham MAX Improvements project, which allowed for TriMet to make the improvements on the railroad crossing in the Rockwood Neighborhood.
"We thank our riders for their patience during the disruption, as we had to adjust service to move them through the work zone," TriMet said in a statement. "These improvements will add to the durability of this original section of the MAX system and create a smoother ride over the crossing. Improvements like these are important to maintaining a smooth, reliable and safe light rail system."
Both the MAX Blue Line and Bus Line 20-Burnside/Stark will return to their regular service on Sunday, April 14.
