8th Street in Topeka to close for pavement work
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Starting on Wednesday, a stretch of Eighth Street will be closed while a contractor performs work.
Starting after 9 a.m., Eighth Street from Topeka Boulevard to Southwest Jackson Street will be closed while the workers install pavement marking for the Eighth Street Road Diet/Bike Lane Project.
Eighth Street is expected to be reopened before 7 a.m. on April 19. Once the road is open, drivers can expect lane shifts while crews install the rest of the pavement markers from Southwest Topeka Boulevard to Southeast Quincy.
The eastbound entrance and exit to and from the Capital Circular Drive and the Capital Parking Garage will be accessible during working hours. Entrances and exits will be closed after 5 p.m. on April 18.
