HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- A Hays County judge sentenced a 44 year old man to 410 years in prison for 65 counts of continuous sexual abuse of multiple children and possession of child pornography with an intent to promote, a news release from Hays County Criminal District Attorney Kelly Higgins' office said.
Judge Gary Steel sentenced Bo Michael Dresner to four consecutive sentences of 75 years for each count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. The stacked sentences range from 10 to 20 years on the remaining 61 counts for child pornography, the release said.
The trial for Dresner began March 4, where he changed his plea to guilty on all 65 counts of the indictment, according to the DA's office.
Evidence presented during the trial included testimony from one of Dresner's family members, as well as another child who lived at his home, the release said. The investigation then began after one of the children made an outcry she was being sexually abused by Dresner.
Then, Hays County Sheriff's Office deputies were able to stop Dresner as he was on his way to the airport with a one-way ticket to Armenia, which is a non-extradition country, according to officials.
According to the DA's office, forensic examination of Dresner's electronic devices revealed "hundreds of thousands of images of child pornography as well as internet searches for countries that will not extradite to the United States."
Dresner was also accused of sexual abuse of a child in 2005, where he pled guilty to assaulting a 15 year old in Minnesota. However, the sentence was reduced, the release said.
