AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A ribbon-cutting on Monday marked the completion of a newly-reconstructed highway in Williamson County.
The newly-reconstructed County Road 245 opened up for traffic Monday between Georgetown and Sun City.
The county reconstructed the two-lane highway to include an interim third lane. The three-lane road also has a center turn lane, as well as right turn lanes at certain locations.
The road will eventually become part of a future six-lane road, according to Williamson County. It's all part of a 2019 road bond project, which is meant to increase mobility around Georgetown and Sun City.
