Williamson County says no cascarones allowed to parks on Easter weekend

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- As a way to help keep Williamson County parks clean, the county said confetti eggs, also known as cascarones, are not allowed at parks this Easter weekend.
In addition to helping keep the parks clean, the county said this is also a way to keep wildlife safe.
According to Williamson County, cascarones can be "mistaken as food by animals and are not environmentally friendly."
Travis County is also preparing its parks in a similar way for the busy weekend, asking people to leave the confetti eggs at home to help protect the environment.
According to Travis County, Easter is one of the busiest days for county parks.
