Man receives 5-year sentence after pleading guilty to 2022 offense
AUSTIN (KXAN) — According to Travis County court documents, a man was sentenced March 19 after pleading guilty to tampering with evidence with intent to impair—a third-degree felony.
Records showed 21-year-old John Wiley Bagwell received a prison sentence of five years in connection with a June 2022 offense.
Bagwell was originally charged with murder; however, the charge was later dismissed, according to documents.
Toward his sentence, Bagwell received a jail credit of 562 days.
