When the PS5 was first released (November 12, 2020), gamers were scrambling to get one before they sold out. Two years later, the PS5 was still notoriously difficult to come by. The COVID-19 pandemic, plus production and supply chain disruptions caused a shortage of gaming consoles across the board, including the PS5. But now, the PS5 is finally starting to become more available.
