Two men jump for their lives as speeding lorry driver smashes into their truck
Police said it was a miracle nobody had been injured in the accident.
This is the moment two men were filmed jumping for their lives after a speeding lorry smashed into the back of their vehicle parked on the hard shoulder.
The pair fled from the back of a flatbed lorry just before the other vehicle hits it on the S8 motorway near the town of Marki in Poland.
The incident was captured on the dashcam of eyewitness Rafal Waclawek who said it appeared the lorry driver had fainted or fallen asleep at the wheel.
His footage shows the lorry suddenly veer into the hard shoulder where the two men were standing on the back of their flatbed lorry, securing their load.
The pair see it coming only just in time and jump either side of the smash – with one landing in the nearest motorway lane, which was fortunately empty at the time.

The lorry driver carried on, shunting the flatbed lorry in front of it, back onto the motorway before finally coming to rest against the central reservation.
Mr Waclawek later shared the clip on social media and commented: ‘Today, we witnessed a very dangerous accident on the S8.
‘The lorry driver, for no known reason (maybe fainted), pulled onto the side of the road where a lorry stood on which two people were securing their load.
‘The speeding lorry hit the back of the other truck and pushed it across the width of the carriageway to the central reservation.
‘Fortunately, the people on the lorry jumped off at the last minute.’

Police spokeswoman Ewa Szymanska-Sitkiewicz said it was a miracle nobody had been injured in the accident.
‘Nothing happened to anyone, the event was classified as a collision. Both drivers were sober,’ she said.
Another police officer, Piotr Swistak, later said there was no evidence the lorry driver had fainted.
He said cops believed the man had simply been going too fast for the road conditions and had issued him with a fine.
