The conflict in South Sudan has killed 400,000 people.

The devastating impact of war on children has been captured in a series of haunting new images.

A British war photographer travelled out to South Sudan, where the five-year-long conflict has killed 400,000 people.

Rick Findler documented the plight of some 20,000 children who have been forced to fight in battles as child soldiers.

Thirty of his images take centre stage at a new exhibition in the Truman building on London’s Brick Lane.

Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn also joined the trip to South Sudan and said: ‘I’ve seen how war can cost children their innocence but it does not always destroy their childhoods.

‘The bravery of the children I met will stay with me forever.’

The trip and photo exhibition form part of World Vision’s Made For More appeal, which aims to protect the world’s most vulnerable children.

The Milton-Keynes-based organisation was in South Sudan when the conflict erupted and continues to work there.
