Donald Trump said: ‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m fucked,’ on learning of Robert Mueller’s probe.
According to special counsel Mueller’s newly released report, the president ‘slumped back in his chair’ and made the declaration after hearing his successful 2016 election campaign was being investigated over claims it colluded with Russia.
He was given the news by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions in May 2017 – and it said to have lashed out moments later at Session’s decision to recuse himself from the investigation.
A judge, prosecutor, or juror may recuse themselves, meaning that they consider themselves to be unqualified to perform their legal duty because of a conflict of interest or lack of impartiality, removing themselves from the case
According to the Mueller report, Trump said: ‘How could you let this happen Jeff?’

‘It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.’
Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion between Team Trump and Russia during the 2016 presidential election campaign found no evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump or his aides.
As the report was being released, President Trump addressed a planned event telling them he was ‘having a good day.’
He added: ‘I’m having a good day, too. It was called no collusion, no obstruction..
‘We do have to get to the bottom of these things. This should never happen to another President again.’
