‘Racist’ cop sacked for drinking on duty and carrying knuckle duster
He also stole a personal photo from a female colleague's phone.
A police officer was found guilty of misconduct for a catalogue of breaches that included routinely using racist language in direct conversations and WhatsApp chats.
Metropolitan Police officer Mark Eve, based in Romford, also carried a knuckle duster and drank on duty, a Met Police disciplinary panel heard.
He was sacked on October 11, after a week-long hearing which heard Eve tampered with evidence in a burglary case in 2015, and stole a personal photo from a female colleague’s phone and showed it to another officer.
The hearing followed an investigation by the police watchdog that concluded in November 2017.
Eve’s colleagues raised the alarm over his behavior, and he was suspended while the investigation was carried out.
