Melania Trump snaps ‘Who gives a f*ck? during chat about Christmas decorations

The first lady showed off her potty mouth during a secretly recorded chat with a former aide

First Lady Melania Trump was secretly recorded snapping ‘Who gives a fuck about Christmas decorations?’ during a phone call with an ex-staffer. Melania’s potty mouth was exposed by her former aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff on CNN Thursday night, with the First Lady heard to dismiss her own controversial decorating efforts.

Discussing the public perception of her, Melania said: ‘They say I’m like him (Donald). I’m the same like him. I support him. I don’t say enough. I don’t do enough. Christmas – Where I am – I put – I’m working like a – my ass off- Christmas stuff. Christmas, stuff that you know, who gives a fuck about Christmas stuff and decoration?

‘But I need to do it, right?’ And then I do it, and I say that I’m working on Christmas planning for the Christmas, and they said “Oh what about the children that were separated?” Give me a fucking break!’ Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?

Melania’s Christmas decoration attempts have been met with some criticism. The red trees she selected for Christmas 2018 were likened to characters from dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale. Earlier in the same chat, Winston Wolkoff also asked Melania about other people’s fascination with her. Melania responded: ‘I don’t give a fuck.’

The tapes – which also include Melania hailing the conditions at detention camps for migrant children – come two months after Wolkoff’s book Melania and Me was released.

They give a fascinating insight into the famously guarded and private first lady’s private demeanor when she is with friends.

Wolkoff – a former Vogue staffer – made friends with Melania in the early 2000s, and helped introduce the Slovenian former model to New York society after she married Trump in 2005.

She was tasked with organizing President Trump’s infamous January 2017 inauguration ceremony, which sparked a row over poor attendance numbers. Wolkoff was later dismissed over the cost of the ceremony, but denies any wrongdoing.

Her leaked tapes were quickly overshadowed by news that President Trump and Melania have both tested positive for coronavirus.

The president and first lady announced their diagnoses in the early hours of Friday, and are now isolating in the White House. Both are experiencing mild symptoms, with Melania adding that she is ‘feeling good.’

Vice President Mike Pence and the Trump’s 14 year-old son Barron have both tested negative for Covid.
