Stanley Johnson still can’t wear a mask properly despite Instagram boast on Tube
Boris Johnson's father has been spotted with his mask not covering his face appropriately.
Stanley Johnson has apologised after being caught wearing his face mask incorrectly yet again.
The writer and father of Prime Minister Boris Johnson was snapped earlier today while on the platform of a Bakerloo line train, wearing his disposable mask under his nose, instead of on top of it.
This comes days after he was criticised for failing to wear any face covering at all while in a shop, as well as being caught at a Greek airport wearing his mask on his chin last Sunday.
In response to this latest incident, he apologised and claimed to be on a ‘learning’ journey with mask protocol.
Addressing the incident, he said: ‘It’s only my third day back in London. I am learning every day.’

He added: ‘I have certainly got my mask on the platform, I agree it is below my nose. This has been a fast learning curve for me and I’m certainly grateful for the vigilance of my fellow travellers.
‘Thanks to all of you for sending photographs of me every time I appear in public. I am really taking a huge, huge… I’m taking this very seriously.’
Bizarrely, this latest example of Mr Johnson flouting the rules occurred on the same day he posted a proud image of himself wearing the mask correctly.
Pictured on a Tube train, he poses with MPs Therese Coffey and John Penrose following the Conservative Party Conference.
‘Masks firmly in place on the Jubilee Line,’ reads the caption.
On the TfL website, guidelines for face masks state: ‘Face coverings must be worn for the full duration of journeys on the public transport network, including inside stations, and in taxis and private hire vehicles.’
Rules regarding coronavirus safety have been tightened across England recently, with establishments and individual incurring fines of up to £10,000 for offences such as overcrowding and failing to adhere to the 10pm curfew.
Boris Johnson warned of £200 fines issued to first-time face mask offenders. However, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that Mr Johnson will not have to pay for the last week’s breach as officers were not on the scene at the time.
