With the presidency, the upcoming US election to determine if he will stay in office for four more years, a business that has been worth billions and twitter, it’s remarkable he has time for his wife, Melania Trump, nee Knauss. But the two have been married for well over a decade and share a son together.

It was officially known that Trump, now 74, had won the 2016 presidential election on election night, which was Tuesday, November 8.
Trump started to gain electoral votes, pulling off surprise victories in states that many might not have expected. This was the first sign that he could win.
Then, when he had surpassed the 270 electoral college votes needed to have won the election, his opponent, Hillary Clinton officially conceded defeat between 2 and 3am in the early hours of Wednesday, November 9.
His presidency officially started on January 20, 2017, when he was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States, succeeding Barack Obama.
He officially kicked off his presidential candidacy for the 2016 election on June 16, 2015, but it wasn’t actually his first foray into politics.
In 1999, Trump started the process of running as a candidate.
On October 7, 1999, he opened what is known as an exploratory committee, which is where potential candidates tentatively work out if they have enough support to announce a candidacy.
He was going to run as a candidate for the Reform Party – not one of the two major parties, Republican and Democrat.
The Reform Party was set up in 1995 in response to what founder billionaire Ross Perot thought was a corrupt political system.
Despite withdrawing in February 2000, it wasn’t actually a bad first attempt for Trump – a poll matching Trump against Republican nominee George W. Bush and Democratic nominee Al Gore showed Trump with seven percent support.
Despite his withdrawal, Trump won both primaries for which he qualified.
When did Donald and Melania Trump meet?
They met in 1998 -one year after splitting form his second wife – when Trump attended a party for Fashion Week with a date who wasn’t Melania.
During the party, he was introduced to a beautiful supermodel named Melania Knauss.
Instantly hitting it off, it’s reported by Page Six that Melania, now 50, took Trump’s number, and eventually called him, kickstarting what would be a history-making relationship for the pair.
Trump proposed to Melania in 2001 with a 10-carat diamond engagement ring.
The pair married in 2005 in Palm Beach with star-studded guest list that included Billy Joel, who performed for the couple, Barbara Walters, Matt Lauer, and the woman who would be his opponent over a decade later, Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill.
They welcomed their only child together, Barron in March 2006.
Donald has four other children from previous marriages: Don Jr, Ivanka, Eric and Tiffany.
Melania is the third woman to be Mrs Donald Trump, with Donald previously married to Ivana Trump between 1977 and 1992 and Marla Maples between 1993 and 1999.
