Digger trying to unstick stuck truck gets stuck
Try saying that five times fast!
A digger has got stuck on a beach as it tried to rescue a truck that also got stuck in the sand.
The hapless rescuers were sent to the beach at Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, when the tipper truck became stranded.
But the mission did not go to plan as the digger also became stuck in the sinking sand.
Attempts to recover the digger were called off as the tide came in, but the truck was eventually moved out of its hole.
The digger was soon submerged when the sea came in, filling the huge hole with water.
Police officers attended but there was little they could do apart from warn locals against heading to the beach.
‘The Town Centre Team are currently dealing with a stranded digger on the beach,’ they tweeted.
‘Please do not gather to see what’s going on as you will be moved on.’
