Squid Game is on track to be Netflix’s most-streamed series ever and currently tops the most-watched charts in both the US and UK.
It tells the story of a group of people in debt who are given the chance to win the equivalent of £27million but only if they risk their lives by playing a series of childhood games.
Episodes were only released on September 17 worldwide but it has already become one of the most talked about shows of the year.
The official shop in Paris gave people the chance to try out some of the games featured in the show – without the risk of death.
Interest spiked as a number of people shared their experiences on TikTok, garnering tens of millions of views.
The traditional South Korean game of Ddakji which uses red and blue tiles was one of the games people could try out.
They could also offered a chance to complete the honeycomb challenge, which involves carving out shapes without making a mistake.
Those lucky enough to get inside and led around by the distinctive guards from the series, dressed in red and wearing masks.
Queues stretched for 700ft down the Rue d’Alexandrie, in the 2nd arrondissement, with some reporting it took them seven hours to get inside.
The series – which features violent scenes including some of the characters being executed and carved open – has made headlines across the world.
Netflix faces being sued by a broadband provider in Korea because of the surge in traffic the series generated, with millions trying to log on and stream episodes.
A man has also revealed he’s been inundated with calls after programme makers inadvertently aired his real phone number in the first episode.
The number was included on a business card given to those who might be interested in playing the game and thousands of people called it out of curiosity to see what would happen.
