Insulate Britain’s spokesman was cut off by Kay Burley as he failed to ‘temper his language’ on breakfast TV.
Cameron Ford accused the Government of ‘committing treason’ over the climate crisis as he appeared on Sky News.
But attention was distracted from his environmental warnings when he was scolded for his ‘potty mouth’.
When questioned on the prime minister’s pledge to limit global warming to 1.5°C, Cameron said it ‘smells a bit pooey to me’.
Speaking before COP26 kicked off, he told viewers: ‘Boris is absolutely lying, he’s consistently lying, he’s a constant green-washer.
‘He’s going to go there, tell the world how we’re leaders of the green revolution. That’s absolutely c**p.
‘Have you told your audience what a 2 °C world looks like, which is what we’re on track for? Because I believe they want to know that if COP fails, they need to know what it’s going to look like, are you going to tell them Kay?’
Kay bit back saying ‘I think that’s what we are trying to do Cameron’ but she became irritated when she was cut off by the protester.
She said: ‘Cameron, let me ask the questions and you can answer them, if you wouldn’t mind.
‘And if you could probably temper your language just a little bit for a breakfast audience, you’re going to get me in all sorts of trouble and no one wants that.’
The presenter also told Cameron he was being given a chance to ‘get the viewers on side so you can take them with you rather than alienate them’ – a reference to Insulate Britain’s increasingly volatile protests that have left many drivers fuming.
One protest saw a distraught woman beg demonstrators to move so she could follow her mother to hospital, while group recently admitted to Metro.co.uk ‘someone might be seriously injured or worse’.
But Cameron failed to take Kay’s advice as he launched a fresh passionate rant against the Government.
Saying the next three to four years will ‘determine the future of humanity’, he told people to ‘come together in civil resistance against the treason this Government is committing’.
He continued: ‘We need to be in civil resistance to the fuel poverty in this country to then selling off the NHS to then spewing s*** in our rivers and to the greed and corruption of the Government.
‘We need to rise up and be in civil resistance. Because when COP fails, what else is there to do?’
His use of swear words provoked the ire of Kay, who responded by cutting off the interview and telling him to sort out his ‘potty mouth’.
She said: ‘Okay, can we see you’ve got me in trouble again, now by using other words that we’re not allowed to use at breakfast time.
‘Hopefully, you will come back on again. And hopefully, you’ll sort that potty mouth out, thanks so much.’
Cameron appeared unimpressed with the situation, responding: ‘Well, let’s see if we can sort out a bigger problem, shall we?’
The prime minister opened COP26 this morning by telling fellow world leaders that the summit would be just ‘blah, blah, blah’ unless they acted now.
The phrase was first coined by teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg who says Mr Johnson’s previous remarks have led to ‘no action’.
