CCTV shows last sighting of missing music student, 20, leaving nightclub

Theatre worker Harvey Parker left Heaven nightclub on December 17 after going to a Little Simz concert.

CCTV images showing Harvey Parker have been released in a bid to locate the music student missing since the early hours of Friday.

In the photographs Harvey, 20, is seen leaving Heaven nightclub in London at around 2.15am on December 17.

Their family are said to be going through a ‘terrible ordeal’ as the major search continues.

Harvey was reported missing on Friday after they did not turn up for their shift working at a theatre.

Mum Amanda told Metro.co.uk that they had come home on Thursday evening following a Little Simz concert in Brixton in a positive mood, saying they had a good time.

They got changed and headed back out to go clubbing, but did not return that night.

She assumed they had stayed out and then gone to work the next day, but after they didn’t come home and had not updated social media despite usually using it prolifically she checked with the theatre and then alerted police.

‘Just before we went to bed Harvey came back and was really upbeat and very positive about the concert and had a good time,’ Amanda said.

‘We’ve gone to hospitals with his pictures, we’ve phoned every big A&E in London, I’m just beyond words to be honest, I really am.’

She says she ‘can’t think of any reason’ why Harvey would go missing, describing them as ‘really upbeat’.

‘Harvey’s very musically accomplished and very academically gifted and really confident,’ Amanda added.

‘The flute is Harvey’s first instrument, along with the oboe, piano and organ. Harvey’s a phenomenal musician. Harvey is very engaging, has lots of friends and is quirky.

‘At the same time Harvey’s very vulnerable and can misread a situation and get overwhelmed.

‘Harvey can’t necessarily read social situations and is outgoing – and that’s when autism really comes into play, because what to do next would be a real challenge.’

Second year University of York student Harvey, from Lambeth in south London, is 5ft 8ins tall, mixed race and has a slight build.

They are believed to identify as non-binary, with friends and their university using they/they pronouns.

Harvey’s mum and step-dad said Harvey often wears ‘flamboyant’ female clothes and may have done so on the night they were last seen.

The newly released CCTV images show Harvey leaving Heaven nightclub near Charing Cross railway station in Westminster. Further footage shows them entering Craven Street and walking south towards the Embankment, but they have not been seen since.

Detective Sergeant Dick Nation, from the Central South Safeguarding Unit, said: ‘We have not been able to contact Harvey, and his family have still heard nothing from him. There is no reason why he should have gone missing and his family and friends are extremely worried by his disappearance.

‘To assist the public, we are releasing images of Harvey from the night he went missing.

‘This is a terrible ordeal for Harvey’s family and friends and I would urge anyone who saw him or has any information to contact police immediately.’

The Theatre Royal Stratford East said Harvey was a front-of-house member of staff and issued an appeal for help to find them.

The tweet was shared by playwright Jonathan Harvey and others, while Little Simz also retweeted an appea.

Harvey’s friends and relatives have led a huge push on social media for the search, including their uncle who tagged LBC presenter James O’Brien in the appeal.

Mr O’Brien responded, saying he would mention Harvey on his show and that he had seen a missing poster on his way in to work.

Sylvester Lennon tweeted: ‘Please, please help us find my kind and gentle nephew.’

Westminster School in London also tweeted an appeal using the hashtag #FindHarvey, stating they were a former pupil.
