Football fans absolutely rinsed for their high-brow pre-match snack

A group of posh football fans have been mocked for tucking into a charcuterie board while travelling to an away match
The four Stevenage supporters had their own, individual foil tray container on the train.
Between them, they had a slice of Le Rustique camembert, chucks on cheddar, plus two different types of salami, cured ham and grapes.
Also, on the table in the carriage, was Port Salut cheese, a twin pack of Jacob’s crackers and a trifle.
There were also paper plates and eco-friendly, wooden cutlery.
The group washed down their upmarket, pre-match meal with cans of Dark Fruit Strongbow and Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime ciders.
The four pals made the two-hour-and-49-minute, 105-mile trip from the Hertfordshire town to see their team play Portsmouth in their League One clash on New Year’s Day.
Pompey fan, James Ashby said: ‘I’ll have the charcuterie and Strongbow please’, said nobody ever.

Sunderland supporter Luke Dodds quipped: ‘Morning love do ya mind knocking is a cheese board up for an away game.’
But most fans ridiculed them.
Andrew Walker said: ‘Eating is cheating. The only things that should be on that table are beers and a pack of cards.’
Halifax fan Pete Young fumed: ‘Worst prep for an away game I’ve ever seen.’
One Peterborough fan said: ‘Even went with the eco-friendly cutlery I see. What sophistication, what elegance, what utter melts.’
John Westwood, who supports Aston Villa, said: ‘The game’s gone.’
Bristol City follower, Shaun Davey said: ‘What has football and fans become.’
One Arsenal fan joked: ‘No one from Stevenage is this civilised.’
Stevenage, who are currently in seventh place in League One, lost the game 2-1 to top-of-the-table Portsmouth at Fratton Park in the Hampshire city.
