Peter Crouch admits he’s an alien stalking the hills of Brazil
‘Crouchy's doing the robot in Sao Paulo.’
When a mysterious alien figure was spotted roaming the hills on a remote Brazilian island earlier this week, there was only one thing on people’s minds- ‘What’s Peter Crouch doing up there?’
The lanky ‘extraterrestrial’ was caught on camera by eyewitness Sara Dalete while she was out hiking with her family, and was claimed to be around 10ft tall.
After footage of the incident circulated online, local football fan Marcio quipped: ‘Wow, Peter Crouch might not be able to go camping anymore.’
But after Beanpole Crouch, 42, – who stands at 6ft 7ins tall – responded: ‘We were on a family holiday.
‘Please respect our privacy at this time.’
The ex-England, Tottenham and Liverpool striker has two daughters and two sons with model wife Abbey Clancy, 38 – who is 5ft 9ins.
He is also known for his signature ‘robot’ goal celebration, which bears a striking resemblance to the bizarre arm movements made by the hilltop creature.
Sara, of Brasília, had said it wasn’t possible to reach the hilltop where they were or communicate with them.
The government of Paraná State made light of the alleged sighting.
A spokesperson said: ‘Our summer is from another world.
‘Even strange beings come here to enjoy our coastline.’
Fan Sam Kelly said: ‘Crouch has confirmed his place as the wittiest footballer of all time.’
Paul added: ‘You should be a comedian, sky’s the limit.’
A third said: ‘Crouchy doing the robot in Sao Paulo.’
