King Charles to return to public duties in days
King Charles will return to public facing duties next week following his cancer diagnosis.
It comes after a period of treatment and recuperation after his diagnosis in February.
Charles and Queen Camilla will make a joint visit to a cancer centre on Tuesday, where they will meet patients and medical specialists.
The pair are also set to host the Emperor and Empress of Japan for a state visit in June.
But despite this welcome news, Charles still has cancer and will continue to receive treatment for the disease.
The picture above marks the first anniversary of the crowning of Charles and Camilla on May 6 and was taken the day after their 19th wedding anniversary on April 10.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has welcomed the news and said he is ‘delighted’ to see the King returning to public duties.
He wrote on X: ‘Delighted to see His Majesty looking so well, and returning to public duties.
‘On behalf of the Labour Party, I wish him and the Princess of Wales the best, as they continue their recovery with the support of their families.’
Charles’s illness was discovered while he was being treated for benign prostate enlargement.
He spent three nights at the London Clinic private hospital, where doctor’s discovered a ‘separate issue of concern’.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed Charles does not have prostate cancer.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton announced she was diagnosed with cancer at the end of March following months of speculation.
She underwent abdominal surgery at the London Clinic on January 16 for what was then believed to be a non-cancerous condition.
It happened at the same time as Charles was getting treatment at the facility.
But biopsy results of the operation showed that cancer was present, doctors said.
She has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy and has been recovering from both the surgery and the treatment over the past four months.
In an emotional address to the nation, Kate said: ‘It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.
‘In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.
‘However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.
‘This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time.’
