Millennials want to be leaders — but not without big salaries, perks
The millennial generation is often associated with career ambition, thanks largely to their role models, many of who are successful entrepreneurs and startup leaders. So it's not surprising that 70 percent of millennials expect to be in management positions within the next five years, according to a recent Staples Advantage Workplace Index survey conducted by Redshift Research. However, of the 1,531 U.S. workers surveyed (664 "Gen Xers;" 534 millennials; and 333 "Boomers"), 29 percent of millennials say higher salaries are the biggest contributors to corporate loyalty. (These findings differ from a recent Progressive Insurance survey that showed that IT-focused millennials would take lower pay for jobs they desire.)
