Seward man arrested on multiple gun, harassment charges
A Seward man has been arrested following an investigation into multiple domestic disputes, according to state police.
SEWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Seward man has been arrested following an investigation into multiple domestic disputes, according to New York State Police. Simon Aranovitch, 20, is facing numerous charges.
An investigation conducted by state police revealed that Aranovitch reportedly strangled a victim, threatened them with firearms and prevented the person from leaving their residence. Further investigation into the incidents alleged that Aranovitch was illegally in possession of multiple guns and large capacity ammunition devices, which were seized by police. He now faces the following charges:

- 12 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Second-degree unlawful imprisonment
- Criminal obstruction of breathing
- First-degree harassment
- Second-degree aggravated harassment
- Second-degree harassment
Aranovitch was arraigned at the Schoharie County Centralized Arraignment Part Court. He was remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash, a $4,000 bond or a $6,000 partially secured bond.
