Cataract eye surgery
Well last Friday, I had my second surgery. I’m cataract free, and it truly has changed my life. It’s also had an obvious effect on my mental health.
I was referred to a company called SpaMedica. I’m an NHS patient though. The whole process is completely painless, a couple of times through the procedure you experience a touch of discomfort but that’s it. Each eye took 10 minutes. My left eye isn’t quite as clear as my right, but nevertheless it’s radically better than it was 9 days back. Really quite incredible. So there it is, my advice to anyone who is diagnosed and then referred - do it. You don’t feel anything, and it changes you whole existence around.
They give you a card which you’re supposed to give to your optician. It tells them the type of lens they’ve put into your eye. It also tells you the size of the lens…… ????
