Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened significantly lower, tracking Asian markets amidst escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The BSE Sensex fell 583.09 points to 71,905.91, and the NSE Nifty declined 181.35 points to 21,814.50 in early trade. MSCI’s Asia-Pacific index dropped over 2%, and U.S. stock futures were 1.3% lower following reports of Israeli missile strikes in Iran. Indian markets recorded their longest daily losing streak in six months, with the Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex losing about 3.3% each in the last four sessions. Foreign portfolio investors sold Indian stocks worth Rs 4,260 crore on Thursday, while domestic institutional investors continued as net buyers for seven sessions. Analysts anticipate elevated volatility ahead of national elections, with results expected on June 4.
