Lindsay Lohan says she feels little pressure to 'snap back' after giving birth to her son

Lindsay Lohan says she isn't worried about bouncing back to her pre-baby body.

The actor opened up about marriage and motherhood in a recent interview with Bustle, and shared that she feels little pressure to "snap back" after giving birth to her son.

"Everyone's getting so thin now. I feel like everything always comes full circle again, so this is that moment, and this, too, shall pass. But it does seem like there's pressure," Lohan told Bustle, in reference to the Ozempic era.

In July 2023, the "Freaky Friday" star welcomed a son, Luai, with her husband, Bader Shammas. The couple have been together since 2020.

Lohan added that she was "so attached" to her son that the last thing on her mind was working out on a treadmill.

"I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves to have to look 'good' so soon,' Lohan said, adding that women look "so beautiful" postpartum.

In a recent interview with People, the 37-year-old also shared that she spends most of her time with her son.

"Right now he just loves being outside and taking walks, so I just try to get him outside as much as I can because he loves looking around," Lohan told People.

"He's ripping my hair out now, so that's the new thing," she shared. "He pulls my baby hairs too, so I have bald spots."

Lohan isn't the only celebrity who has spoken about getting back in shape after having a baby.

In an interview with The Sun in August 2016, Blake Lively — who has four kids with her husband Ryan Reynolds — said that women shouldn't feel like they have to get back in shape so soon after giving birth.

"Women put pressure on themselves to look like a Victoria's Secret model after having a baby. It's absolutely absurd," Lively said.

She added that she needed a lot of help to get in shape for her movie "The Shallows," which she filmed months after having her first daughter.

"I focused on training and eating well. It took two different trainers and a nutritionist to help me get into that sort of shape because it's not normal to look like that eight months after having a kid," Lively said.

Keke Palmer — who shares a son with her ex Darius Jackson — told The Cut in July 2023 that she was always conscious about her appearance but learned to be less hard on herself after having a child.

"I was trying to work with my trainer, Corey Calliet, and he was just like, 'Well, we are never going to try and get your body back to how it was before a baby because you birthed a child.' It's like, that's not something to hide, that's something to embrace. We're going to lean into this new body," Palmer told The Cut.
