Moscow’s Personal Notification Service Helps Businesses
The Mosrobot.Business personal notification service using Big Data accumulated by Moscow’s Department of Information Technology (DIT) has sent out over 2 million email notifications since its inception. The service, which is implemented on the ICT.Moscow platform, provides each company with a unique set of information on services for business, Moscow Government procurement orders and amendments to the law.
To name a few examples, Mosrobot.Business is able to analyse data on previous tenders in the Unified Automated Tender Informаtion System and offer information to potential suppliers who have already taken part in tenders about new state procurement orders that could be of interest to them. The service is also able to offer access to procurement information depending on the details held in a company’s profile. Companies can also adjust their profiles independently.
“Thanks to the use of AI and Big Data technologies, each company receives only that information that it actually needs. This is the first step towards personalization of the city government’s interaction with business. A recent study demonstrated the efficiency of this approach – most of the businessmen surveyed prefer to communicate with the city by email,” said DIT spokesperson Elena Novikova.
In the past, many companies had to appoint a separate employee to monitor the state procurement portal and pay for access to aggregators, whereas now Mosrobot provides all the necessary information on Moscow tenders free of charge and in automatic mode.
The most popular categories of notification of published procurement tenders in 2018 were:
- provision of technical services for maintenance of buildings;
- networks and engineering equipment;
- supply of office and warehouse furniture.
The most popular notifications this year have been: procurement of security services and building maintenance works.
The Mosrobot.Business personal notification of procurement tenders by the Moscow Government is the first service implemented on the ICT.Moscow platform.
The Mosrobot.Business personal assistant was launched by the DIT jointly with Moscow’s Department for Competition Policy in May 2016 to develop competition.
The service offers several different notification scenarios for Moscow businessmen:
- daily notifications on upcoming state procurements based on the company’s activity profile;
- invitations to complete online forms with commercial bids to supply medicines and medical goods to the city’s healthcare establishments;
- recommendations on upcoming evets for exporters.
* ICT.Moscow is Moscow’s digital technology platform. It features a catalogue of IT solutions and publishes the most important news, studies, events and business contact information. The platform helps businesses to keep track of key developments and find new partners.
