The Majority Of Gamers Care About The Change
The devs never stated AFK travel would be safe, actually they said we are getting bubbles that will make it impossible to make it through. Stop attempting to re-write history since you want the game formed to your EVE Echoes ISK playstyle.Like we understood bubbles were forthcoming so long ago.Why should it be so easy to roam nullsec in full security? However, EE should be its own thing. Launch was a enormous success despite the robots quickly becoming a problem, but that has been an expected problem. We didn't expect the promises the devs made to us concerning the sport to be removed within the first month. This game was sold to us since the casual EVE experience we have been dieing for, and suddenly they're back to listening to the EO sweatlords and which makes this match shed what made it special.
Sincerely, a concerned 15 year EO veteran who does not want the same.
What bothers me is that as a game developer myself, there is zero reason to roster distinct servers using a reduced set of mechanisms in case your only goal was to create a mobile client for your existing game. You have the resources, the UI isn't difficult, you've got an existing economy and universe, the majority of the technical investment in terms of gameplay logic within a MMO is about the server anyhow, etc..
It's not that tough to make a mobile client for an existing Cheap EVE Mobile ISK game, and have it connect to the same servers, in precisely the same universe. It is more of a UX/UI difficulty than a thorny one. Even outsourcing the game like they did, it still doesn't make sense.
